The third International Conference of Peace Museums was held in 1998, in Osaka and Kyoto, Japan, under the title The contribution of museums to world peace. For this conference the INMP cooperated with the Kyoto Museum for World Peace at Ritsumeikan University and Osaka International Peace Center (Peace Osaka).
